The music is fully developed and the playing is of a consistently high level. It's the kind of music you must really pay attention to, both the solos and ensemble playing captures your attention. I personally loved the interplay between the members and know that this group has the potential of being one of the most important new groups you will hear. Bio

The instrumental voices of Gerhard Ornig, Karel Eriksson, Koutsonanos Vasilis and Luis Oliveira becomes the unique sound of se4asons. A classic jazz quartet without a harmony instrument.

Tight unison melodies, complex rhythmic forms and structures , different sonic moods combined with the groups different nationalities offers rich opportunities for creative writing.

The absence of harmony instruments is reflected in their transparent sound and brings out a more contrapuntal approach which results in equal roles and more responsibility for each musician.

Since the start in 2015, the se4asons has emerged from the rehearsing studio to touring around Europe and performing at festivals like 12-points in San Sebastian, Bayerisches Jazzweekend /Regensburg in Germany, Jazzwerkstatt Graz as well as appearances on the Austrian National Radio Station for Jazz, Oe1, Jazzet Cafe in Athens(Greece) and more.

In early 2018 the group released their debut album "Long Ride" under the Viennese Label "Freifeld Tontraeger". The CD is available on ITunes and Bandcamp.

The year 2024 marks the release of there 2nd album on "Tomorrow is Now". We are proud to be part of Alessa Records or you can directly purchase the album from Bandcamp and listen it on most of the faourite Streaming devices.

It is the clear instrumental voices of rising trumpet star Gerhard Ornig, trombonist Karel Eriksson with the impeccable rhythm side of bassist Vasilis Koutsonanos and drummer Luis Andre Carneiro de Olivera.
